THE ANGEL OF DEATH LONGING
TO BE FREED
One cannot follow
the history of evolution
as we know it, without
being conscious of the
fact that there are two
types of evolution
progressing side by side,
one physical, the other
spiritual. Seeing this, one
must believe that God's
purpose is in the end, to
bring these together so that they will culminate in a perfect eternal
being fitted to cooperate with Him forever. Then will be fulfilled
God's promise as given through Jesus: There will be no more
weeping, no more sorrow, no more death, for man and God will be
in perfect accord. We were created to be immortal and God will
persist until we gain that goal of Immortality.

THE TURN OF THE WAY
There is in parts of the East, a legend to the effect that
Jesus, when He returned after completing His education as a Rabbi,
intended to function as other religious teachers of Jewish Palestine
usually did: confining His effort to elucidation of the early prophets in
Israel; to take the position this would give Him in Jewish society, to
be a help to His father Joseph in his important business as architect,
builder, interior decorator, and lumber merchant of the town. However,
while He was out superintending the workers in Joseph's timber lands
one day, He saw the Romans loot the town, burn part of it and carry
off His two sisters to be held for ransom. He had come to the "turn of
the way." It was the turning point of His career; He felt something
