"This event is untimely in every sense, because John Anderson
was the synonym of faithfulness, loyalty, business energy and
integrity in the highest degree. He could be depended upon,
and I think in the world in these modern days it is a high
tribute to character to say that a man can be trusted, can be
depended upon. He has done so much, however, in his
lifetime, so regretfully cut short, that he leaves behind him
immortality and his name will be blessed by innumerable
evidences of his useful life and the sacred memories of his frank
and generous personality."
