Indians and their interactions with the Spanish during the historic
period.

Publishing Company, c1987). A guide to the extant publicly
accessible mounds, earthworks, shell middens, stone structures,
and other artificial landscape features built by American Indians in
the Atlantic Coast Region of the U.S.

Archaeology of Pre-Columbian Florida: by Jerald T. Milanich
(University Press of Florida, c1994). This record of Precolumbian
Florida brings to life the 12,000- year story of the Native American
Indians who lived in the state. Describes the indigenous cultures
and explains why they developed as they did. Richly illustrated.
