John Anderson continued to build several more palm and pine log
cottages after the Hotel Ormond was built in 1887 that were rented
to guests wanting a little more privacy than was available at the Hotel
Ormond.
John added several grape arbors
to enhance the Santa Lucia
Plantation walk for guests of the
Hotel Ormond. What a pleasant
entrance it made to the Santa
Lucia Plantation from the front of
the Hotel Ormond in a personal
carriage. This was a delightful
morning or evening journey at the time for many distinguished guests
staying at the hotel.
