courage, dedication and support of the educational
process with her books and activities throughout the
community. Your works and accomplishments encourage
not only me but also, the thousands of school children

web site, thanks for your support and kind thoughts.
I didn’t know Alice Strickland personally but she is
one of my favorite mentors along with all the other
writers who have so professionally presented Ormond
Beach history. I have read all her material and am
thankful that such talented and caring people served our
community. Rest in Peace Mrs. Strickland, you are fondly
remembered through your many great works and deeds.
I want to personally thank our many friends, new
acquaintances, visitors, shop owners and organizations
who have embraced our books and supported our efforts
in “Keeping History Alive.” John Anderson used to say “My
Best for the Best” and I believe in giving the same…
