Under Henry Flagler’s ownership several wings were added, a
swimming pool was built, a casino, a dormitory and laundry were built
near the power house, a pavilion at the beach was purchased and a
large wooden 800 foot long pier was constructed to accommodate
water sport activities adjacent the hotel.
